Latin America and the Caribbean: Registration Open for the Regional Higher Education Conference
“Local and Global Challenges: a Strategic Agenda for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean” is the theme of the forthcoming Regional Higher Education Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean. Online registration has now begun on the conference website.
The conference, which will take place in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia from 4 to 6 June 2008, expects to receive 3,000 delegates and 500 students from the region. It is among the preparatory events for the World Conference of Higher Education to be held in UNESCO Headquarters from July 6-8, 2009.
UNESCO’s International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC)is organizing the conference with the Ministry of Education of Colombia.
